WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE TOUR?
You will be picked up just outside of the Costa Maya cruise ship terminal, please follow instructions shown in the following:
We will travel to Bacalar in an air conditioned vehicle for about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
The Bacalar rapids is a strait that joins the southern part of the Bacalar lagoon that begins in the town of Xul-Ha with the northern part of the lagoon.
The current in this strait flows from south to north constantly, it is tenuous enough to First swimming through and then paddling against the current without having to be a professional athlete, during the Kayaks’ journey in the rapids, the main attraction is the incomparable view of the stromatolites that subsist in this eccentric ecosystem of clear and crystalline water.
Enjoying the beauty of the waters of Bacalar and nature in general, is something very beautiful that you should not miss.
During your stay you can enjoy delicious Mexican food and drinks to make your excursion an unforgettable moment.
Finally we will take you back to port Costa Maya on a ride of about 60 minutes.
Start time: This excursion is especially planned to meet cruise ship schedules so meeting time mainly depends on your ship’s time of arrival, we generally give 30 to 40 minutes to get to our meeting point once the ship has docked and has opened the doors for people to get off.
Your driver and guide will be waiting for you with a sign with the logo of Chac Ek Costa Maya.

If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. Cancelling between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee. In case of cancellation within 2 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
